The status field represents stages in the
task life cycle. You may deactivate tasks
at any point, by changing their status to
one of the following:

Closed -
The task is no longer relevant, for whatever
reason. Maybe the task
has been verified, or maybe the task has been
completed and you don't wish to verify.
You can close a task for any reason.

Deferred -
The task should be completed, but
not at this time. The expectation is that
the task will be reactivated at some point.

Non-Issue -
There is no need to do the task. Perhaps
the task duplicates a task already in the system,
or the task was entered in error.
Deactivated tasks can always be reactivated at any point.
If a task has been assigned to you, you can unassign
it for any reason.
If a task has been completed, you can mark it as either
Verified or NOT Completed.
