Select one or more versions from the Found in, Fix in, or Fixed in menus to view only items associated with those versions of the selected product. If the selected product has no versions, you will not be able to select any versions, unless something has gone horribly wrong. Well, maybe not horribly. Products in Willow may have one or more versions. The term version is synonymous with the term release as it is generally understood in the software development community. Each version has a name. The name may be arbitrary, or it may be of the format major-minor-point. The two flavors cannot be mixed for a single product. In other words, a version can have a name or a number, but not both. With respect to task and issue management, versions are used in three ways:
If a product is versioned, then the user is given the opportunity to specify development or production for the values above. The idea is that the user may not know the actual version name or number, so we want to give them an opportunity to provide at least some useful information. |
