Attachments

Tasks and faqs can have files of any type attached to them. If you have only one file to attach to an item, then just click the "Browse..." button and select the file you wish to attach. Then enter an appropriate description in the Description field below the attachment name.

If you have multiple files to attach, then enter the number of files you wish to attach in the small text entry box to the bottom right. After you submit the form, you will be taken to a page where you can attach the specified number of files to the item.

Willow itself imposes no limit to the number of files you can attach, but the web server on which Willow is running might choke if the combined bytesizes of the files is too large. Most web servers have a default limit of about 2 MB for uploaded files. This can vary greatly from server to server, however.

Make sure you enter a brief but meaningful description for each file. Later, when you're browsing through the attachments, you'll be glad you did.

You can delete attachments from any item, in which case only the attachment information is removed from the database. Willow leaves the file itself on the server.
